Had you guys heard about this? Never seen any mention of it anywhere until I saw the Wired article (link to that in other thread)

I've seen commercials for it running on Comedy Central, but that's it. Anyone know any details like who his character is, etc.?

I don't know anything about the show other than the info on that page, though it does describe David's character...

Wow. I hope it's really funny, because the description sounds shitty.

Did anyone watch it last night? I rather liked it. David was great, though his role is smaller than I had hoped. He laid a couple of really good gems.

What did everyone think?

Of course, I missed it.

But apparently, it got good reviews from TV critics, though I don't know if that means much.

I thought it was pretty funny. No laugh track, which is good. The writing was pretty good, the acting was good too. Reading what other people have been saying, many think that it may be too smart or funny for fox. (I.E. Like Andy Richter Controls the Universe and other fox shows that got canned).

That would be unfortunate, another cancelled Fox show. But I think that if people start spreading the word, and recommending it to their friends. It will take off. I dont think right now it has instant popularity like along the lines of Seinfeld or Friends (oh god, I hate Friends) but its early. Here are the National ratings for the show (not bad for the first week):

I was also reading somewhere that Liza Minelli is going to be on the show, actually a couple of them. Here's a bit about that:

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (FOX) - Liza Minnelli has signed on for a
multi-episode arc on the network's new fall comedy. She'll play
widowed society matron Lucille Austero, the archnemesis of lead Jason Bateman's mother (Jessica Walter). The series stars Bateman as Michael Bluth, a widower who's pulled back into the clutches of his eccentric Orange County family when his father (Jeffrey Tambor) is arrested for dubious accounting practices.
