All In Dealt Garofalo
Janeane Garofalo heads to Vegas for a new NBC sitcom set in the world of professional poker.
By Lisa Johnson
Janeane Garofalo has been dealt a winning hand, as she's just signed to star in NBC's comedy pilot All In, a project based on the life of poker champ Annie Duke.
The sitcom, from Warner Bros. TV and studio-based Is or Isn't Entertainment, is about a single mom of three (Garofalo) in Las Vegas who supports her family by working as a professional poker player.
Garofalo will also produce the pilot, along with her managers David Rath and Kara Welker. Lisa Kudrow will be an executive producer, as will Jack Burditt and Dan Bucatinsky.
Garofalo - an actress, a standup comedian and a radio host - will next be seen on the big screen in Marc Forster's Stay. She has been twice nominated for Emmys for her role on HBO's The Larry Sanders Show.
