Could huond possibly be mistaken, I mean, a LIAR? From all information I've heard lately Wain's been in LA for a few weeks and Sho's been all around promoting The Baxter. The children need truth.

It would be better if they didn't have a second season because then they'd make a lot of money off of DVD sales and could use it to fund other projects.

It was a fun show, though. I didn't notice that it was 10 episodes. I think the way that they wrote it was that they came up with a topic for the episode, like, "We all get girl friends," and then improv the whole show in one sitting.

Apparently you've never tried to make it commercially, have you? This is one of the stupidest and most naieve statements I've ever heard. No offense or anything but boy, are you a dimwit or what?

It happened to Family Guy. High DVD sales brought the show back from cancelation.

If it had a second season it wouldn't have to come back from cancelation, and how does being canceled increase your dvd sales?! Goddamnit!!!

That's something you should ask the president of Comedy Central.

IIRC Family Guy was canceld by FOX due to poor ratings which were due to timeslot moving all over the place. People wanted to watch it but never knew when it was on.

People wanted to watch it, thats what increased it's DVD sales.

Some one else might be able to explain why people don't want to watch Stella. I don't really know but it probably has somthing to do with the education system or sexual hang ups.

I think a lot of people in general just don't think it's funny.

I tried explaining it to some people but they looked at me like I was insane.

my experience has been 1 out of 3 people appreciate the show and actually find it funny.

1 out of 3 is a shockingly large number.

I'd be surprised if your sample was actually representative of the general tv watchers.

no one got it. the number of people who liked it was way less than 1 in 3

Those numbers were taking directly from the Nielsen ratings. 3 people watched and 1 person liked it.

Sometimes they have shows on CC OnDemand

I liked the show and got the humor but one season seems to be enough, i rather the boys work on movie scripts

I think this show worked better on the internet in 10 min clips instead of a 30 min show

I liked the shows much better than the short clips. I thought everyone here liked it but I guess not.

there's a panel interview with wain, showalter, neil brennan, and cross as moderator in this month's tokion magazine. i didn't know what this magazine is all about, and still don't, but i bought it and read it and it was generally pretty uneventful.

AT NEWSSTANDS NOW!

Hey, Stella ruled but do any of you guys know where I could show my short films? like is there a short film forum around? or here? to display your own movies?

check em out if you want:

thanks, The Daves

btw- Stella should cut some gay stuff, literally... then come back for the second season ;)

As a matter of fact, BUTM receives more short films than the 3 largest short film forums in the country combined (in a fiscal year).

And we don't even have to pay to see them! It almost feels like we're stealing.

Looks like this thread finally has an answer:
No.

From stellacomedy.com:

The STELLA series was on Comedy Central last summer. The network has offcially decided not to renew it for a second season.

Thank you to all the fans for your lobbying and support. Perhaps Stella will return on TV in some other form in the future. In the meantime, Comedy Central occasionally repeats the episodes, and we are currently working on DVD which will have the whole season and lots of cool extras. The DVD release (and possible touring) will be this fall.

Poopers.
