Is it true that Bob created the Matt Foley character that Chris Farley made popular on SNL? I'd heard something about this a while back and now I'm curious.

Oh, hello by the way. I'm new. What does that get me?

EDIT: ^ my very first post!

Yup, it's true. He wrote the original skit for Farley back in the Second City days. There's a book about Second City that includes a cd in which the original sketch is recorded.

Yup! Bob wrote that when he was at Second City with Farley. I think Bob played the Phil Hartman roll back then. And I believe Timmy Meadows and Jill Talley were in it as well. I wanna say that they were all in a Los Angeles version of Second City that they experimented with briefly, but maybe it was just(?) Chicago.

Corrections happily accepted.

JACK SQUAT!!!!Jesus, I can't believe I set myself up for that. Very funny, though.

And since yall are so smart, I'll ask another question: Why are all the default avatars on this site from the same episode? (301)
I really wanted to use a Don Pratt one...

I get the feeling that the answer involves laziness.

EDIT: ^ my very second post!

No shit? They're all from 301? I never noticed. Huh. Anyway, after 10 posts, you can choose an off-site avatar. I don't know where you might find a Don Pratt pic on the web, though. You might have to grab it from the DVD.

Am I the only one who HATES seeing multiple people using the same avatar, by the way?

yeah, it would be incredible if they could provide more avatars. And why do we have be tools and call them "avatars"? Arent they just "pics"?
