I have to say after reading all of these wonderful things that this person was, that I wish I had even just met Julie once, or seen her online. I feel as if Ive lost someone just from reading this thread sometimes, when I see that people have posted in it, even though I never even saw this board until after all of this had already happened.

I'm pretty sure Leah won't be able to make it. I don't know when Nick leaves but I leave on the 3rd so I won't be able to meet Chris. That really sucks. I'll talk to everyone and see what a good day for them is. Love you too.

Just an update...

I first spoke to Det. Trevino of the Bexar County Sheriffs Office a few days after the nighmare began. He told me at that time that "he didn't want to ruin this womans life". Well, to make it short, he is really trying to keep that promise! He waited almost 6 months to file a pretty much worthless case. You have no idea how this pisses me off! I work for the SAPD and we do things right! The official report has numerous witness statments. The problem is that there are no names or any contact information at all. Not to mention that the BCSO doesn't have a clue how process a crime scene. What a professional organization they are! They are completely worthless! That's where we stand now. It is going to be near impossible to pursue a case without any witnesses. The woman's statement states that she was behind Julie and Sarah. She was tailgating and wanted Julie to move. She started flashing her lights. Julie switched to the right lane then back to the left lane behind the woman. She then states that she didn't like how close Julie was driving and slammed on the brakes at 70mph. To avoid hitting the woman Julie pulled to the right and lost control in trying to correct and crossed over the center median. Sarah's parents along with mine have contacted the local media and are begging for witnesses to come forward.

Tentatively on Janurary 17th, there will be a hearing to determine if there is enough for a case. We are asking everyone to show up at this hearing or write letters to the District Attorney's Office demanding that something be done. I'll post further details with the addresses soon...

That's completely ridiculous. I could see not getting that info from witnesses in a fender bender situation but an accident with two fatalaties? That's inexcusable.

If you need us to write any letters don't heasitate to ask. I'll do anything I can to help...
