so i watched the comedians of comedy and made a point to tvio it based on 1) thinking it was fucking funny and 2) wondering who it was dedicated to. Who was she? what happened? So young...

Perhaps such questions are rooted in a morbid curiosity i'm ashamed to say but have no doubt that she is in fact among us.

Consider that i have read the great postings from her friends and family, discovered BUTM by doing a google on Ms. Self and arriving at Channel 101, which i also never knew existed and being a giant fan of edgy comedy (and 40 years old) Ms. Self, who is no longer with us on this plane of existence only, has single handedly guided me to discover a community which i really need to know. (you have no idea: 5 words- i live in columbus ohio)

I have given a few hundred bucks to the Humane Society that was mentioned by her mother, learned about (by all accounts) a funny and illuminating person and discovered a new community.

tragedy, comedy...and the yin and yang of existence continues to roll and both can make you cry. (it seems she might just make fun of what i'm saying right now...and probably is!)

at any rate, all i can say is thank you Ms. Self.

Same happened to me. I'm away from you (Bulgaria) but I started to look for her in the i-net and thanks to this forum I got to know her at least a little. She seemed like a great and talanted girl. Very cute also! I feel sorry I'll never meet her. Rest in peace Julie Self!

Hello, everyone. This is Kori (the girl that made the video so many people had trouble watching and the 'friend' that DIRECT just posted about).

Bobby told me a while back about this website but I couldn't read it all without bawling. Today, I've made it all the way through but still couldn't hold the tears back. This weekend has been difficult for me because I've had the chance to hang out with Leah, a mutual friend of Julie and I. We've done a lot of Julie reminiscing and it makes me happy and sad at the same time.

Reading everything here truely makes me smile. It's really nice to read things from Bobby and Susan and all of her friends she made here.

Susie, if you read this, I will be in town from Dec. 5th - Jan. 3rd and I would really love to see you.

Kori, I talked to Nick on Turkey day. How cool, Hawaii. He said that he'll be here in a couple of weeks also. I said that we will have one of those get togethers that Julie loved so much. I know Bobby and Leah would love to be here too. To bad Julies Leah lives so far away. Everybody is welcome. Well almost everybody, not the ones who treated her so ugly. I wish some of her BUTM friends could come , we really would like to meet them. I know Chris is in New York, so he won't be here. I have to tell him all about it when he gets back in January. had problems running it on my Mac. However, I managed to burn it to DVD on my brothers system...thanks again Kori...Still very difficult to watch, but amazing!...send me your address and i'll mail a copy to ya if you want...

ah, Susie. You don't know how happy it makes me that you want to do one of our old get togethers. Leah is trying her best to make it to San Antonio during Christmas and Chris is trying to come also. They are trying to be there at the same time so we might be able to do it while they are there. Elspeth will also be home for the holidays. It would be really nice if some of the BUTM guys could be there.

your screen resolution? I've watched it on 3 different computers and they've all looked the same and been of the same quality. What OS are you using? What program is it playing in?

there is something wrong with my media player.


it goes normal and then fucks up again.

windows xp, windows media player.


UPDATE: I got it to work in Real Player. And I just spent the last little while crying my eyes out.
