what the . . . ?

I was up somewhat late last night and lo and behold Kids in the Hall came on. I sat up and watched, but . . . it just wasn't funny. There were two episodes, but I didn't particularly care for either. It had been quite a long time since I had seen the show, but I used to like it all right. Is it possible that I've just changed so much that I no longer like it? Bad episodes? Tired?

Can you recall which two episodes? It could be your tastes have changed. Some of their material seems very dated now, though a lot of it is still nose bleedingly funny. They'll always be a fave of mine.

I find most of it doesn't hold up. It just doesn't age well. Some of it is still funny and I tip my cap to how innovative and funny it was at one time.

Now it seems soft and silly.

I guess this is a bad place to mention season 2 of KITH is now available on DVD.

I've always enjoyed that show. But I'm biased.

I still think it's funny. I've seen every episode a thousand times though, so that tends to drain the humor out of them.

The KITH on Comedy Central is not the KITH that was on HBO. Comedy Central censored them so that they could meet the COMPLETELY IMAGINARY standards of decency on cable TV.

What a crazy network! I LOVE EM!

Also, Comedy Central only seems to show about 12 or 16 of the episodes over and over and over. (I never counted.) It was even more annoying when they were on, like, four times a day. And you may have seen one of the CBS episodes, which were NOT their strongest.

The "funniest" thing about Comedy Central is how VH1 has funnier shows than they do.

What's funnier is that you actually watch VH1.
