Run Ronnie Run music on CD

Hello BUTM members!

I wanted to let you know that Eban Schletter has just produced a limited run promo CD. These are licensed for promotional use only and can not be sold. That means they can only be given away for FREE as a promotional item!

The CD contains 11 tracks from "Run Ronnie Run" featuring some of the score cues and songs including "The Ballad Of Ronnie Dobbs", "How High The Mountain", "The Golden Rule Song" and 3x1-1's "The Greatest Love In History". There are also 13 tracks from the orchestral score to "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" (yes, I know.. but the music is good!)

If you are interested in a copy, let me know. I'll just need your address to send it to (one per person please).

Also, a limited quantity of these CDs will soon be made available at www.filmscoremonthly.com as free gifts for those who purchase more than $50.00 worth of merchandise - FSM has many great film scores for sale - all limited pressings too.

So if you'd like a copy or want more info let me know.

Sorry, "ass kickin fat kid" is not on this CD. This is an Eban Schletter promo CD and he was not involved in that song. (apparantly Eban wrote a track for that moment that he said was pretty funny but it got shot down without Bob or David ever even hearing it). There was also an end credit song written by Scott Aukerman that is not on this disc either.

In fact, say, why don't I just give you the track list:

1. The Ballad Of Ronnie Dobbs
2. Tami (score cue)
3. Hark (score cue)
4. I Loathe LA
5. Elimination Island (score cue)
6. How High The Mountain
7. The Greatest Love In History
8. Waffles (score cue)
9. Ronnie's World (score cue)
10. Ronnie's Heartstrings (score cue)
11. The Golden Rule Song

tracks 12-24 from Dumb and Dumberer

I've been looking for that 3x1-1 song... that song is the fucking shit. David sings like some sort of swan... powerful, full of power.

The CD made me remember the movie more fondly than I actually remembered it. It's just that these songs were the highlights of the film.

So is Eban Schletter responsible for the other 3x1-1 songs? Or the Pootie Tang songs?

What's he working on now?

I find this interesting as someone who wants to make music for films myself. He totally nails these different styles. Nice work!

Hello again everybody,

We're very glad to see that many of you have written in and received your promo CDs. I wanted to make sure no one slipped through the cracks - is there anyone out there who wrote in but did not yet receive their CD? If so, please let me know.

For the rest of you, there are still copies available from us so email me if you want one. Also, in my original post I said they would soon be at www.filmscoremonthly.com well now they are there (part of their "free gifts" with a $50.00 purchase deal.)

Another thing I wanted to mention is that Eban has informed me that he submitted tracks for a "Mr. Show Jukebox" bonus feature for the Season 4 DVD. These included the "Party Girl Song", "Getin The Shaft Again" (written by Mark Rivers) and others.

In addition, we are revamping the Netherota Records site this month and will be includidng a Mr. Show Music feature with more free mp3s.

Lastly, I thought I'd answer a few questions that were asked:

Yes, Eban has been a part of all the 3x1-1 songs that appeared on Mr. Show (co-writing with Bob and David) I'm sorry to say I'm not exactly an expert on Mr. Show, so I'm not sure about Pootie Tang. Wasn't he the David Cross character from 3x1-1, or are there different songs besides "Ewwww Girl Ewwww" and the song about all the people who died since time began?

Eban is currently working on a show called "Drawn Together" for Comedy Central.

Thanks again to all of you who wrote in.

Cheers,

Toby Moody

Wow, I had a moment of ...err... forgetting things... and forgot that the movie was ever even made.

Now I remember.

What's the name of the song?
Where can I find it?
